* Those who wish to further their professional development towards becoming a Professional Engineer may do so by taking up approved BEM top‐up courses or a Master of Engineering by coursework to qualify for registration as Graduate Engineer. After three (3) years of work experience, a Graduate Engineer may apply to become a Professional Engineer.
What does a Civil Engineering Technologist do?

Assisting civil engineers to plan and construct highways, buildings, bridges, dams, wastewater treatment systems, and other public structures.

Designing commercial, industrial, residential, & land development projects.
Estimating the cost of construction and specifying the materials to be used (some may prepare drawings or carry out land surveying tasks). -
Preparing and monitoring the instruments used for traffic studies.

Supervising & monitoring construction, assessing the quality of materials, reviewing surveys, or mapping, and dealing with cost estimations.

Applying suitable software to gather and analyze data, preparing technical reports, and managing file systems.
