Program Admission Requirement
EC110 Diploma in Civil Engineering
These programmes include the fundamentals, theory and application in Civil Engineering. All the diploma programmes offer basic courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and introduction to engineering fundamentals such as technical and building drawings. During the second year, emphasis is placed on fundamental engineering knowledge in engineering sciences, mechanics and analysis. In the final year, students will carry out analysis and group design work which include experiences using software.

EC110 Diploma in Civil Engineering
The curriculum structure is divided into two (2) groups of courses which are engineering and non-engineering courses (university’s requirement and faculty’s requirement). The civil engineering courses divided into four (4) major divisions which are structure, water and environmental system, geotechnical and transport and construction management.
In programme structure, all core engineering and related courses are incorporated with tutorial sessions to fulfil ETAC criteria. The programme structure comprises of ten (10) engineering courses, inclusive of Introduction to Civil Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Surveying, Hydraulics, Basic Structural Analysis, Soil Engineering, Structural Concrete and Steel Design and Highway Engineering, and six (6) non engineering courses namely Basic Chemistry, Calculus I, Fundamental of Physics, Calculus II for Engineers, Further Mathematics for Engineers, and Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.
